How does the body regulate blood sugar?

While plants store sugars in their roots, we store it in the liver. The level of sugar in the blood is monitored by cells in the pancreas. If it’s low, they tell the liver to release more. When the levels of blood sugar rise, the pancreas sends out another signal that makes liver, muscles and fat cells absorb sugar, or glucose, from the blood.
