The Sand Rat of the Negev desert feeds on a herb called salt bush. When it was brought into the lab and fed it normal rat food, it’s blood sugar levels immediately started to fluctuate. We tested the salt bush and discovered that its high amounts of chromium-magnesium salts may help to balance the absorption of sugar from the blood. Another well known herb in the Greek-Arabic tradition is walnut. It’s a powerful antioxidant, and in addition to that it seems to help the body regulate the release of sugar from the liver. We combined it with extracts of nettle to help keep our immune system balanced, and finally, olive leaves, to regulate the absorption of carbohydrates in the intestine. In synergy, the four herbs help the body regulate healthy blood sugar levels.
Walnut leaves (Juglans regia) helps our bodies to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
