The upper layer of our skin consists of dead skin cells that are structured neatly beside each other like tiles on a rooftop. These skin cells are constantly dividing to produce new skin, but sometimes, if they divide rapidly, too many dead skin cells can pile on top of each other. This can form scales, and make skin red and dry.
Black cumin (Nigella sativa) nourishes and protects our skin against irritation .
Lemon (Citrus medica limonum) helps our skin to repair itself.
Rocket (Eruca Sativa) helps skin cells to divide at a normal rate.
St John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum) soothes itching and redness.
