In the Middle East, some herbs are known to regulate the amounts of fats in the blood. One of them is a classic of the Greek-Arabic tradition, namely the olive leaf. Like all good herbs, it works in several ways. In Cholevel, olive leaf helps to maintain healthy fat levels in the blood; our tests show that it helps to regulate fat absorption from the intestine. We’ve added loquat tree leaves because we’ve found that extracts from the leaves balance the production of fats in the liver. Loquat leaves also have high amounts of antioxidants that can help protect blood fats from oxidation.
