Our bodies have a system to tell us when we need food, and if we get too much it stores this as fat so that we can use it later. In the Greek-Arabic tradition, Lady’s mantle is the plant to regulate body weight. In fact, shepherds steer their sheep away from it so that they don’t get too skinny. In our research we’ve found that it's helpful because it contains tannins that help to regulate appetite. It also seems to slow down the enzymes that are responsible for breaking down foods in the stomach, which means that less of what we eat is stored by the cells.
